Microsurgical sperm retrieval is performed by using an operating microscope. It is possible to magnify the vision up to 25 times to prescisely identify the location of probable spermatogenesis.

An embryologist analyses the teased tissues under the microscope to identify sperms. The best quality sperms are then obtained and used for ICSI.

This is the most sophisticated method of sperm retrieval and it is possible to obtain sperms even in men with focal spermatogenesis.
